Welcome to Roose Animal Hospital. We are located in scenic, downtown Plymouth, MI  on W. Ann Arbor Trail. We are here to serve you, your pets, and the local community and have been doing so for the past 20 years. The health and well-being of your animals is of the utmost importance to our entire staff. Caring for your dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and other small pets is what we are here to do. Our goal is to continue to provide high quality veterinary medicine combined with individualized client education, professional communication, respect, and a healing environment.

  • Dr. Kevin C. Roose, Practice Owner

    Practice Owner, Dr. Kevin C. Roose, graduated from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. He is an active committee member of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
    Dr Roose and his wife, Rosann, are both life-long Plymouth residents. They have twin boys, Justin and Travis, who attend Ann Arbor Huron High School and play lacrosse and hockey. Their youngest son is an 8 year old Labrador retriever named Murphy. Dr. Roose is a member of the Plymouth Lions Club, Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, and a coach and Board of Directors member in the Ann Arbor Amateur Hockey Association. When not helping animals, he enjoys spending time at the family cottage up north, water skiing, snow skiing and traveling.
  • Dr. Karen Knight, DVM

    Dr. Karen Knight is a 2001 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. Dr Knight joined our team shortly after she graduated and has a special interest in avian and exotic medicine. She is an active member of the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians and the Association of Avian Veterinarians. She also works closely with many local avian rescues. Dr Knight enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children, and 2 basset hounds, Flash and Lucy.
